The passenger perspective

Blurred aeroplane aisle

It’s not often that I get to sit in the passenger seat. I am used to enjoying the opportunity to experience of a slightly different perspective when travelling down familiar roads. What I hadn’t really picked up on previously was the sense of calm from not having to make constant road traffic evaluations and decisions.

Today it’s more apparent, as in addition to the lack of any requirement for motor vehicle control, I also don’t have any work-related considerations. That right, today I am a vacationing passenger. Sure I’m sharing the driving (because that’s only fair) but it’s nice not to be in the driving seat for a bit.

Moments like this are not to be taken for granted so I won’t be spending any longer trying to draw out any other parallels about paradigm shifts or the like. Catch you tomorrow.

Donovan.
